It all started with 'The Killing' early last year and then 'Borgen' this year - suddenly everyone was obsessed with all things Scandinavian. It wasn't just the whodunit that had everyone talking on Twitter, but the light fittings, window shelves and wooly jumpers. I'm certainly hooked - from reading the latest Jo Nesbo to lusting after Scandi lamp shades. Here's a few of my fave interior looks inspiring me at the moment...

laid back chic at the Oscars...kinda
Though 'The Artist' may have been the star of the show last night, the evening really belonged to the supremely talented Meryl Streep. She looked stunning in Lanvin (for the Green Carpet Challenge) and gave a moving and heartfelt speech that had many shedding a tear.
Favourite Oscar Outfits
Meryl Streep in Lanvin
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford
There was much hoo-ha on Twitter around this outfit but I thought she looked amazing.
Octavia looked stunning and gave a very warm and tearful speech.
Glenn Close in Zac Posen
Love, love, love this woman and this dress and blazer are gorgeous. Oh to look like this at 64!
'Not so much' Outfits
Sandra Bullock in Marchesa.
Normally I won't hear a word said against this woman and I wish she was my best friend forever BUT the dress does nothing for me. Gorgeous from the back but the front is saggy and shapeless. I still love you Sandy.
Natalie Portman in vintage Dior.
It may be vintage but she looks like a jar of tomato sauce. Sorry, not a fan of the dress or indeed her acting.
Best looking couple on the red carpet. Gary Oldman - Grrrrr yum!

I love Garance Dore...
I've been a fan of Miss Dore for a few years now - her illustrations are legendary in the fashion world. In her series called 'Pardon my French' Garance has been sharing her NYC fashion week journey including lunch with Caroline Issa et al, meeting up with her heroine Julianne Moore and a chat with the legend that is Diane Von Furstenberg. It's hard not to be infected by Garance's enthusiasm for fashion and life.

Marni on the high st....
So, following on from Lanvin and Versace, H&M collaborates with Italian fashion house Marni. I have to say I'm more excited about this than any of the previous collections. I've always loved Consuelo Castiglioni's quirky yet wearable designs for Marni, especially the accessories, and this will be a chance for those of us without massive budgets to buy into the Marni brand. The following are on my shopping list...
Necklace £24.99
Blouse £59.99
Necklace £34.99
Trousers £59.99

High St shop of the month...
I know what you're thinking - Clarks!? Is she serious? Completely. No longer just the home of cosy slippers and sensible school shoes, Clarks have become ever more fashion forward over the last few years and have recently revamped their website. I've bought quite a few pairs of boots over the years and from looking at their new collection, I'll be buying sandals and heels too. Below are a few of my faves...
Yarra Desert boot in black suede £99
Dollar Craze in navy suede £54.99
Theme Tune in red £39.99
Definitely getting these for summer.

Colour Pop...
I don't know about you, but the thought of wearing pastels this spring/ summer makes me wish that winter would come around again a lot quicker. Saying that, I do need to inject some colour into my wardrobe. Therefore I'll be adding a hint of colour to my usual black, grey and navy uniform with a few well chosen colourful accessories...
